Clay Myers, a fifth-generation Oregonian from pioneer stock, was born May 27, 1927, in Portland and grew up in Tillamook. He attended Benson Tech High School (Portland), received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon (Eugene) in 1949 and pursued graduate studies in law at Northwestern College in Portland. Myers was active in politics from a young age. He was instrumental in organizing the Young Republicans of Oregon and was an active member of the Republican Party. He served...
